Four years after his death, fellow musicians plan to commemorate award winning Kwaito artist Brown Dash.
The Soweto born musician passed away in 2012 at the Chris Hani Baragwanath hospital after a long illness.
Yesterday in an interview on Metro FM’s ‘Whose Show Is it Anyway’ Brickz Mabrigado announced that he is currently planning a concert for Brown Dash together with a couple of other local artists.
Speaking on the show, Brickz said: “We’re doing a tribute show for Brown Dash on the 24th of September at Orlando Stadium.”
“We’d like for the public to come out and celebrate Brown Dash’s life with us.” he added.
He further said: “We’re trying to end this whole thing of people only remembering you when you’re alive, but once you’re gone, they don’t care about your kids, they don’t care about your parent.”
Brickz also revealed that Mandoza and Mapaputsi will be among those who will be performing at the show.
Later on the same day, Brickz and his team were on Kaya FM and Jozi FM spreading the ‘word’ about the Brown Dash commemoration concert.
